சினிமாவும் பகுத்தறிவும்


புதுப்பேட்டைல  ஒரு Dialogue வரும். 
"அம்மா'ன்னா  யாருக்கு தான் புடிக்காது?"
ஆனா நம்ம ஊர்ல சொந்த அம்மா அப்பா'வ விட ஒருத்தன் (ஒருத்தி) ஒன்னுத்துக்கு வெறியா இருக்கான்'னா  அது.. 

 சினிமா !

 நமக்கான ஒரு அறிவை தறுவது சினிமா தான். Lumiere Brothersல தொடங்கி Nolan Brothers வரைக்கும் சினிமா பயங்கரமா Evolve ஆகி இறுக்கு. Celluloid ஒரு காலத்துல சீப்பு செயுறதுக்கும் மணி கொக்குறதுக்கும் உபயோகிக்கற ஒரு பொருளா இருந்தது ஒரு ஆச்சரியம் தான். அதுவே பிற்காலத்துல பல்லாயிரம் கோடி Revenue ஈட்டுத்தறுகிற ஒரு Art Formஆக ஆனது மற்றும் ஒரு ஆச்சரியம் தான். Celluloidல ஆரம்பிச்சு இப்போ இருக்குற inox Digital வரைக்கும் வலம் வந்துட்டு இருக்குற சினிமா, ஆரம்பிச்சது ஒரு விபத்தால.
ஒரு மோக்க Joke'வோட ஆரம்பிப்போம். கருப்பா இருக்கற நாய்'ய கறுப்பி'ன்ட்டு சொல்லுவோம். சிகப்பா இருக்கற பொண்ண சிகாப்பீ'ன்ட்டு சொல்லுவோம். அதே மாதிரி, Move ஆகுற Pictures'அ Movie'ன்ட்டு சொல்லுறோம். ஒவ்வொரு Celluloid piece'லயும் ஒவ்வொரு Picture இருக்கும். இத Frameன்னு சொல்லுவோம். இந்த மாதிரியான Celluloids ஒன்னா ஒரு தொடர்ச்சியான அமைப்புல இருக்கும். அந்த அமைப்புக்கு பெயர் தான் Film. அவ்வகையான Celluloid'ல ஒருவகையான திரவம் பூசப்படும் (Light Sensitive திரவம்). எங்கல்லாம் light'வோட exposure அதிகமா இருக்கோ, அங்கேலாம் வெளிச்சம்(வெள்ளை) அதிகமா இருக்கும். அதே மாதிரி எங்கல்லாம் light'வோட exposure கம்மியா இருக்கோ, அங்கேலாம் இருட்டா(கருப்பு) இருக்கும். இப்படியாக உருவானது தா கருப்பு வெள்ளை படங்கள். ஐரோப்பிய நாடுகள்ல, அதுவும் முக்கியமா, பிரெஞ்ச் மற்றும் ஜெர்மனி போன்ற நாடுகள்ல, சினிமாவ ஒரு உணர்ச்சிகளை வெளிபடுத்தும் ஆயுதமாத்தான் பயன்படுத்தி இருக்காங்க. Greek வார்த்தயான kinematographos தான் மருவி சினிமா(cinematography!) ஆனது. அவங்கள பொறுத்த வரைக்கும் சினிமா ஒரு கலை(Art).
நம்மள ஏமாத்துற ஒரு ஆர்ட்!
அந்த ஏமாத்து வேலைய தெளிவாவும், உருபுடியாவும் செய்ய உருவாக்கப்பட்ட ஒரு கருவி தான் தற்போது INOX'ஆல் அழிக்கப்பட்ட Film Roll Projectors. Filmல இருக்கற ஒவ்வொரு picture மீதும் வெளிச்சத்த ஒரு லென்ஸ் வழியா பாய்ச்சு, துகிலாலான (Old Fashion) திரையில Reflect ஆக வைக்கறது தான் இந்த projectors'வோட வேலை. உடல் ரீதியில நம்மளோட கண்ணுக்கு ஒரு பண்பு உண்டு. சரி ஒரு நிகழச்சிய எடுத்துக்காட்ட எடுத்துப்போம். ஓருவர் சிவப்பு வண்ண வெளிச்சத்த பாக்குறாரு. திடீர்னு சிவப்பு வண்ண வெளிச்சம் பச்சை வண்ணமா மாறிடுது. ஒரு 0.5 Secondக்கு அவரோட கண்ணு அந்த சிவப்பு வெளிச்சத்த தக்க வெச்சுக்கும். இந்த ஒளிகளோட வண்ண மாற்றம் எப்போ நடந்துச்சு'ன்ட்டு அவரால யூகிக்க முடியாது. அதுக்கு காரணம் அவரோட கண்ணு அவர ஏமாதிடுச்சு. சுறுக்கமா சொல்லணும்னா Illusion நடந்துருக்கு. இதே Illusion தான் நாம படம் பாக்கும் போதும் நடக்குது. ஒரு frameல இருந்து இன்னொரு Frameக்கு மாறுறா அந்த இடைப்பட்ட வேலைல, Projectorஆனது  Filmக்கு போகிற வெளிச்சத்த தடை செய்யுது. Illusion'அ தெளிவு படுத்த இந்த தடை தேவையா இருக்கு. அந்த தடை இல்லாம போனா, நம்ம கண்ணு, அந்த ரெண்டு Frameல உள்ள படங்கள மோத விட்டு நமக்கு மங்கலான ஒரு காட்சியத் தரும்.
Whole Story Short: Projectorஆனது filmல உள்ள frameல வெளிச்சத்த பாய்ச்சும். அடுத்த Frame போகிற அந்த Gapல Frameக்கு போகிற அந்த வெளிச்சத்த தடை செய்து, அடுத்த Frame வந்ததும் மறுபடியும் அந்த வெளிச்சத்த பாய்ச்சும். Light Sensitive ஆனா திரவம் பூசப்பட்ட Celluloidல அந்த வெளிச்சம் படும்போது, Light Exposure நிகழுது, விளைவாக அந்த வெளிச்சம் லென்ஸ்'இல் நிறுவப்பட்டு, திரையில் நமக்கு ஓடும் படமாக (செல்லமாக Movie) Reflect செய்யப்படுகிறது. Projector வெளிச்சத்த வெச்சு செய்யுற on and off விளையாட்ட தா Flickering'ன்ட்டு சொல்றாங்க. படங்கள Flick னு சொல்றதும் இதனால தான்.
Filmக்கு பதிலா Semiconductor Chipsஅ replace பண்ணி, Celluloidஅ டிஜிட்டல்'அ மாத்திடாங்க. சினிமா எவ்ளோ தான் evolve ஆனாலும், அதோட பிரத்தியேக போதையா நமக்கு தந்துட்டே தா இருக்கு. ஒரு 100 வருஷங்களுக்கு முன்னாடி Types of Films ன்ட்டு ஒருதர்ட்ட நாம கேட்டா, அவர் 8mm, 9.5mm, 16mm, 35mm, 65mm, 70mm(கடைசியாக) ன்னு வகைப்படுத்துவார். ஆனா இன்னைக்கு film'ஓட வகைகள் Genre ஆய்டுச்சு. எல்லார்க்கும் Genre பரிட்சயமான ஒண்ணா தா இருக்கும்.
"நமக்கு எப்பவவுமே Action தான்!"

Romance விட அழகான Genre என்ன  இருக்க முடியும் டீ?"

"மாப்ள பயங்கரமான Thriller படம் டா"

"Sex Education is by far the best Drama series I have ever seen!"

இன்னும் எக்கச்சக்கமான Genre இருக்கு. Fusion Genresஉம் நாம கேள்வி பட்ட ஒண்ணு தா. Action Drama, Coming of Age etc., etc., இதெலாம் விட அற்புதமான, அடிமையாகக்கூடிய Genre ஒண்ணு இருக்கு.
Auteur (Author)!
சினிமால உச்சகட்ட High நிலைய அடைய தேவை படர ஒரு Genre. இதய Genreன்ட்டு ஒரு குறிப்பிட்ட Spaceல அடக்கிட முடியாது. Genre Theoryக்கும் Auteur Theoryகக்குமே ஒரு வித்தியாசம் இருக்கு. உதாரானதுக்கு,

Pisasu படத்தோட Genre - Mysskin 

இத Genre சொல்லறது கொஞ்சம் weirdஆ இருக்கும். Auteur என்பதே சரி. ஒரு படம் பாத்தா அது இவர் படம்ங்கற Detection நடந்தால் அவர் ஒரு Auteur FilmMaker. அப்படிப்பட்ட Auteur FilmMaker எடுத்த படத்துல அவரோட Personality காணலாம்ன்ட்டு சொல்வாங்க. Auteur படங்கள் சினிமா கூட உங்கள இன்னும் ஈர்க்க வைய்க்கும். "என் படம் Action படமா இருக்கணும்"ன்னு யோசிக்கற  Director'ஓட படத்த விட, "என் படம் என்ன மாதிரி இருக்கணும்"ன்னு யோசிக்கற Director'ஓட படம் எப்டி இருக்கும்ன்னு யோசிச்சு பாத்தா அதுக்கான பதில் கிடைக்கும்.
சாதாரண Light Sensitive Plasticல (தற்போது Chipல) செய்ய பட்ட ஒரு சாதாரண ஒரு பொருள்ல உபயோக படுத்தி உருவாகுற ஒரு Productக்கு இன்னைக்கு மயங்காத மனுசங்களே இல்ல. அப்டி மயங்காதவர் மனுசனே இல்ல. சினிமா காண வரையறை இது தான்ட்டு சொல்ல முடியாது. சினிமாவ ரசிக்கும் ஒவ்வொருதனுக்கும் அந்த வாராயறையானது மாறுப்படுது. இந்த மாறுபடுற செய்யலானது ஒருத்தர்க்கு நடக்கும்போது அவரோட அறிவு அதிகமாவுது. நம்மலாள உணர முடியாத உணர்ச்சிகள சினிமா நமக்கு தருது. இதனால தா சினிமா Appreciation முக்கியமா தேவை படுது.
சினிமா எவ்ளோ முக்கியமோ அதிக விட முக்கியம் சினிமா Apprecitiation. அதாவது சினிமாவை (அறிந்து) கொண்டாடுவது. முன்ன சொன்னது போல, சினிமா நம்மள ஏமாத்துற ஒரு Art Form.  ஏன் நாம, சினிமாவ நம்மள ஏமாதுறதுக்கு விடறோம்? ரொம்ப Simple ஆனா கேள்வி இது. பதிலும் சாதாரணமே! சினிமா தன்னை ரசிக்கும் ரசிகனை வறையறுக்குது, வளர்த்தும் விடுது. நம்மள வளர்கிற சினிமாவ கொண்டாடுவது இயல்புல நமக்கு இருக்கணும். சரி எப்டி கொண்டாடலாம்?
பகுத்தறிந்து கொண்டாடனும். கதாநாயகனுக்கு மட்டும் ரசிகனா இல்லாம, கதைக்கு ரசிகனா இருக்கணும். கதைக்கு மட்டும் ரசிகனா இல்லாம, திரைக்கதைக்கும் ரசிகனா இருக்கணும். அப்படி பட்ட கொண்டாட்ட உணர்வ உங்களால அடைய முடிஞ்சா, உங்களால Stanley Kubrick'ஓட 2001'அ ரசிக்க முடியும். Lijo Jose Pellissery'ஓட Jallikattu'வ ரசிக்க முடியும். ஒரு புது உலகத்துல பயணிக்கற உணர்வு வரும். ஒரு நல்ல படமானது உங்களுக்குள்ள நிறைய கேள்விகள கேக்க வைக்கும். அதுக்கு பதில்களயும் உங்களின் மூலமாவே யோசிக்க வைக்கும். இந்த ஒரு நிகழ்வு ஒருதற்கு அடிக்கடி நடிக்கணும். என்ன பொறுத்த வரைக்கும் அப்டி பட்ட நிகழ்வ ஒரு சினிமா மூலமா ஒருத்தர் பெறுறார்னா, அவர் அந்த சினிமாவ கொண்டாடிருக்கார். Film Appreciationகு சினிமா எடுகிறதோட Intricacies தெரிஞ்சாகனும்'ன்ட்டு சொல்லுறவங்க நிறைய பேர் இருக்காங்க. ஒரு படத்த தன் அளவுல ஆராய்ந்து தன்னோட பகுத்தறிவ வளர்த்துகிற மனப்பாண்மை இங்க இருக்கற ஒவ்வொருத்தவற்கும் வேணும். அதுவே சிறந்த Film Appreciation.

Ranking of Harry Potter Books

  The End This book is my second least favourite book of Harry Potter series (I’ll explain why Deathly Hallows didn’t become my worst HP book while I give the ranking of HP books). 25TH POST!!!! Beyond the Clouds (EOI #7)

Beyond the Clouds I couldn’t able to sleep that night. I ended up dozing off at around 3 AM. It was my mallu friend who woke me up. I don’t know why (actually, the question to be asked is IDK how), I developed a habit of not waking up to my alarm. I have tried changing all the tunes, but the sound of my phone’s alarm never reaches my ear. I woke up, I didn’t change anything. I have planned for this day in a perfect manner. All I did was - had a warm bath, drank a hot strong coffee with a samosa for breakfast. Packed my bags, left my keys in the PG and for one last time, with a heavy-hearted sigh, I left my PG for good. Dravidian Otaku's First Year Anniversary

  It’s been a year since I started writing my blog! February 1, 2020 I had completed reading the first book of Twilight book series. I had my Netflix subscription back then and watched a lot of movies and series in the month of January 2020.
