Aftermath of a trip is worse than a hangover

The Wrap Up The Ooty trip had taught me too things! One – To spend minimally. Two – To plan stealthily. I brought a Jumbo Loan immediately after my Ooty Trip. After my discussion with my mom, it was inevitable for me to take a loan. The loan helped me to pay my credit card, my brother’s last year college fees and we had bought a water purifier too.  Surprisingly, I decided to take a 10 Year Asset Insurance plan and started saving 60k each year. I started saving for my Kanyakumari trip too. So, I have created an RD account for 6 month (I am going to break it out in 3 months... DUH!!) and started saving 3000 a month. Though it had its disappointments, the Ooty also had its fair share of enjoyments. It was a great beginning for the year 2021.   I had never imagined that I would watch two Selvaraghavan’s films on a new year (that too back-to-back). It had happened this year. Even completing a one-day Ooty trip was also an achievement of some sorts, excluding its discontents.

Don't plan a one-day trip to Ooty!!!!!

Meh! The trip was not how I had imagined it would be. The first failure was the duration of the trip itself. The one-day trip to any place that is more than 50 kilometres would be an exhausting one. The plan was to start our ride before 6 and reach the hills via Mettupalayam on or before 10 AM. It would’ve been a perfect trip if we had followed this timing. But our trip started nearly at 7 AM and we reached Ooty way after 12 PM. The next disappointment was the places. We planned to visit 2 most important locations in Ooty – The first one was the Botanical Gardens and the second place was the Dhoddabeta . Again, this was failed due to the timing. It was partially my fault too. I was adamant in having the refreshments and spent nearly one and a half there. Later it became a huge money issue. Then we went for shopping. We wanted to visit at least one of these places and decided to go to Dhoddabeta.  We had almost reached the place and suddenly, the rain started pouring in. The co

Thinking about the trip is more fun than the actual TRIP?!??!?!??

Ooty – Here I come! Initially, we planned to stay in Ooty but eventually, it changed to a one-day trip. Mani suggested to call all our friends and I was against this idea. Because, if we start asking each one of them, then our trip would fail cent percent. Or at least, our trip would get postponed. And the planning started.  One of the guys suggested to have a 2- or 3-day trip during Pongal holidays which will come after 3 weeks. Also, there’s the issue of money. If it’s a one-day trip, it would cost less, and we didn’t want to wait for another 3 weeks. Speaking about the cost, we decided to take 1000 Rupees from each of the people who are coming for the trip and using it for all the expenses like Petrol, food and other things (like getting entry pass to visit an area… Stuff like that) We all had 3 bikes and 6 persons in total. 2 persons for each bike and we are all set to go. SJ and NSK, Shot’uh and Womeniser, Gundan and Me. Exactly on 3 rd of January – A beautiful S
